“Educating a new generation of leaders in the principles and practices of statesmanship.”
From its foundation the Henry Clay Center for Statesmanship has had one defining mission, “Educating a New Generation of Leaders in the principles of Statesmanship.”
The Center continues to champion this goal by exposing our youth and future leaders to the profound legacy of the great statesman Henry Clay; a legacy of compromise, of negotiation and of dialogue. In today’s ever-changing political climate, both at home and abroad, we strive to bring an enlightened and balanced approach to the problems of the modern world by cultivating a culture of meaningful discourse.
Real change begins with gestures of good will and listening, and with the help of genuine discourse, can flourish into the betterment of all. In the words of Henry Clay;
“There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured with what is right in America”
At the Henry Clay Center for Statesmanship we invite you to join us in emulating “The Great Compromiser’s” spirit of dialogue and negotiation, to learn the ideals of true statesmanship, and to embody the principles of leadership.
